   Isn’t it interesting that when Celtic are linked with a player (can’t say signed…. that nmob doesn’t “do” signings), he’s the next Maradona….. yet obviously Stevie Bhoy has seen Prso time and time again to let us know that he’ll be poor.

   Personally i thought Prso looked well out of his depth. His control seemed rather lacking. Maybe be just had an off night cos he has fired in a few goals this season.

    I’ve probably seen more French League games that the entire backroom staff at Ipox. Prso has 59 goals in eight seasons, that 7.375 goals per season playing for the leading lights of French football (er Rouen etc)!!

    Larrson lead our club to a European final last year, can’t see Dado (or any of your signings) doing the same.

    I look forward to the CL qualifiers, remember that your lot are only seeded because of our performances in Europe!!

    Prso is a good player. He is not a Henrik, but lets face it there are not many players out there of that quality which both celtic and rangers can attract. As a Tim I reckon he’ll do well in the SPL and knock in a few goals for the gers. Good luck to him, the league needs a strong celtic and a strong rangers. Last season while great for us did nothing to enhance the SPL.

    Prso looked alright last night - I’m more worried about what he’ll look like once the Ibrox coaching team have “coached” all the skill out of him. Obviously all the Ranegrs players are skillful enough, since Wouters apparrently has enough free time on his hands to help out little Dick in Portugal - there was me thinking that some of them could do with a little extra coaching, given that they failed to make any impact on Europe, failed to make a domestic cup final and were out of the championship race by Hogmanay.

    I think Prso will make a good foil for a real penalty box predator, such as Novo for example. He certainly has an arial presence and did well against a very tight Porto defence - obviously Mourinho’s men have learned from the soft goals they gave away to diddy teams & over-rated strikers in the UEFA cup last year…..;)

    Superb - I haven’t laughed that much since the days of Fergus & his bunnet! Don’t you think that Rangers’ performances in Europe between 1988 & 2002 might have had something to do with it - at a time when celtic were being regularly thumped by the minnows of European football.

    Short memories, you tims have….so it’ll come as a great shock to you when those days return next season.

    Try and follow your own argument, genius. You were criticising the player, not his club. As part of this intelligent analyis of his abilities you reckoned he wasn’t good enough to take anyone to a European final even though he’d just played in one.

    On tonight’s David Murray interview on Real Radio I took nothing positive from it.

    1. Murray confirmed he would continue to show disrespect for the club’s supporters and shareholders by not attending the AGM. Well, f*** you Murray, don’t expect any respect from me, either. We are told he doesn’t need to attend as McClelland is attending. Why wasn’t it McClelland doing the interview? Because everyone knows that it its Murray who makes the decisions. Murray should resign as a director if he is unwilling to undertake his corporate responsibilities.

    2. Murray said he would take his share of the responsibility for the debt. That is big of him. Murray, please note your share of the responsibility of the debt is 100%. Who else sanctioned the signing of the cheques?

    3. He tried to explain how RYD would work. The purpose is to keep expenditure out of Rangers. There are 3 scenarios that I can see. Number one, RYD generates too much cash and therefore keeps it away from being used for other purposes (eg bringing in players). Number two, RYD generates enough cash to sustain itself, and therefore it makes no difference whether it is separate (other than it is ringfenced). Number three, it doesn’t generate enough cash and therefore is has to be bailed out by Rangers and therefore will not make any difference, or if it is not bailed out it will not operate properly.

    4. He has agreed to fans’ representation on the board in the future. I guess this will keep the RST happy and will be an effective way of getting the fan’s messages across, but it ain’t gonna change anything. Decisions aren’t taken at board meetings. They are taken behind closed doors and the board meetings are only there to ratify them.

    I can’t believe the people who come onto the radio subsequently and say that Murray is the best thing that has happened to Rangers. Sure, he ran the club well and brought in finance, but he has taken the club to its knees, where we are unable to spend

    Don’t try to dress yourself up as an intelligent analyst.

    Analyze this: Why would any player want to leave a team performing well in Europe for a club that sets new standards in failure, year in year out? Either a deluded or a money grabber!

    You’ve got to be totally blinkered to believe that Prso can change that.

    Celtic made a European final because there was skill, mental strength and fight in the team, those attributes are obviously lacking down your way.

    In reply to Harry’s question about choosing the country of eligability, you bring up a good point, the rules suck, my words not yours.
    However I think it’s much worse for a player to want to play for a team, for ex, England, and play schoolboy and under 18 etc. and when no first team call comes along then suddenly profess your desire that you “always wanted to play for ???”
    What do you think?

    If he was never going to get a game for England, and Scotland wanted him then not sure what the problem would be. Everybody is happy. However if 2 countries want a player and he picks the one that he has virtually no connection with then that it probably worse. However difficult to put them against each other as the circumstances are different in each case.
