Stefan, du bist ein fussball gott.

…well - you wouldnae be surprised, would ye!

Stefan Klos, like Goram and Woods before him, is a miracle worker - he makes saves that others (except Woods and Goram) wouldn’t dream of. But recovering from cruciate ligament damage before the end of this season is beyond even our current captain.

Fuck a very large duck.

This dark Friday night all of Celtic land is, if not actually celebrating, secure in the knowledge that their only rivals for this season’s SPL title have just suffered a cataclysmic blow. In terms of the 2004/2005 season, The Gloves are off and the stookie’s on. As one whisky-nosed GovanKnight might say in a mind-gameish sort of way, all Celtic can do now is throw it away.

But sod that, for a second or two. Right now I just want to wish Stefan all the very best on his long road back to match fitness. Over the last six years he’s been great for us - as great as that understatement - and in the coming months we should do anything we can to remind him how much he’s in our thoughts. Think the Gers@OpenFootie Germany Stef flag will have to come out at The Brox tommorow. Govan rear, towards The Copland side - have a swatch.

I was already planning to spend a few moments prior to kick-off against Livvi sending some of my affections towards a man who would be in no way actively helping Rangers during the game: But I expected that man to be Richard Gough. Now, instead of paying due tribute to one of the greatest Rangers captains of all time, I’m gutted by the absence of our present captain, one of the finest goalies ever to wear the Red and Black socks.

Ricksen’s a gimme for the armband tommorow but the man who wore it most succesfully most recently, one B Ferguson, must be even more gutted that he ain’t coming back to The Brox. Stef’s absence would mean a controversy-free re-appointment of Bazza as El Capeetayn.

We’re not upping our bid to Blackburn, though, so Bazza stays at Ewood Park. Is this the 28th of January? Are ye sure it’s not Friday the 13th!

Yeah, I felt Barry should stay in England - I wanted him to remain in the Premiership because I love the guy so much I wanted to see him playing at the best level he could. But, all the time, my subconscious was lusting for his return. News that it won’t happen, that Blackburn won’t accept
