ber allen Gipfeln ist Ruh (Smellies … 2 GERS … 0)

Over all the peaks there is peace, troops. As Goethe-Baby said, over all the peaks there is peace.

Just so happens we’re on the way up the mountain right now. When we reach the top it’ll be well fekin worth it and, frankly, I don’t think it’ll take us that long. This, today, was horrible - it always is losing to that mob - but it was simply the price we have to pay in order to make the inevitable deluge of silverware all the more enjoyable, all the more earned.

The team we fielded today was the selection I’d imagine most Rangers fans wanted - it was certainly my choice of eleven from what was available. It may involve having to admit how settled a side Celtic are right now, how comfortable they are as champions, but it was clear to most that in defeat we actually played light years better today than we did at Easter Road last Sunday. If we can continue that level of improvement on a week-by-week basis I’ll be helluva surprised if we lose the next SPL derby, at Ibrox. If we don’t win the next SPL outing at Parkhead I’ll be even more surprised. By the time celtic come to Ibrox for the final OF league meeting of the season (provided they make the top six), we’ll wipe the fekin floor with them.

The progress may be slower than that. We may have to wait til next season to regain our SPL crown. But I still remain convinced Le Guen will take us to new heights of performance and to endless achievement. I know it’s hard to admit that celtic were the better team today - they can defend and they can finish while we are clearly still finding our way as a unit - but if we take the pain on the chin and learn from it, as the team must, then the loyalty we display just now will be rewarded ten fold. If that ethic sounds a bit Protestant then shoot me.

Oh and, I gather, some “Rangers fans” would like to do do just that! And are going to!

Yup. Only a week after Gers@openFootie’s “Blog of the Month” award in When Saturday Comes (promise that’s the last time I mention it), we received our very firsty DEATH THREAT! Way-haaayy!!

Now I know we’ve REALLY arrived as a fans forum!! (wait a minute - what do yese mean “the prize was for US, Eck but the death threats are probably just for you”???!!! Cheers!)

Actually, we got the “Tick Tock ya piece of excrement” message from “Anderson Killer” over a week ago (Anderson’s my Sunday name. They’ve got me sussed, man - I’m living on borrowed time!! I’m gonnae buy a car just so I can check it for bombs in the morning) but dumbo here didnae even spot it. I’d moved on from the thread in question - it’s posted under my rant about the Falkirk game, go to the “previous articles” link at the foot of this page and have a look for yerself (I’m really quite proud of it - my very own Stalker!) - but a good friend of the site mentioned it to me last night over a pint and assured me it was from a certain someone he knew of - a real True Blue Psychotic who, ye know, “means business”.

After getting over the initial elation and boost to my ego, the depression set in this morning. There seems to be a small section of the Rangers support who … nah - fuck it - that’s for another time - and maybe it’ll never need to be said.

Let’s just say Thank Goram for Allan from Gourock, on Jim Traynor’s desultory phone-in tonight, going head-to-head with some knee-jerk who wanted Murray out and who couldn’t wait to tell the whole world how pish Le Guen was. This was also a Rangers fan. Allan, a Bluenose with the bravery to be intelligent and resonable, to see the wider picture - ie beyond the end of the fucking week - held his ground and proved that when the silent majority does speak, it speaks with the words of a fucking angel. We’ve just lost to celtic and there’s a man saying “it’s gonnae be okay” - that’s absolutely correct but it’s becoming rarer and rarer to hear it.

WHY AM I SO IMPORTANT to these headbangers??!! For one man talking pish who no-one listens to, I seem to have a hell of a lot of attention from “anti-handwringers”.

Anyway, If you want me make sure you get me at the fitbaw. I have family in this house you fucking low-life scumbag.

Anyway. Sorry bout that. Bit depressed, folks. Bit depressed.

In the mild torpor induced by this pathetic little post - I’ve got his e-mail address if anyone other than the police is interested in writing to him - and the fact I’ve had a wee bit of a cold (aaaaaaw!), I watched The Gers hold the ball well, begin to dominate the midfield for the entire second half but never ever look like scoring.

Dado was phenomenal and, like Barry, was remarkable for his lack of games. Our captain did give the ball away at a crucial point and hit one poor free kick but he was inside the opposition box almost more than Boyd and he was defending better than Hutton. He was unreal was Bazza - I’d back him in a fight in Bothwell anyday. And still we lost. Poor day but not without signs of things improving. We lost the second goal because Le Guen gambled - quite right too. We were controlling the midfield but Hutton was a weak link on the overlap for us as well as when combatting Celtic overlaps. So on came Sionko as a wing-back and we went for it. Kenny Miller got the goal we all knew he’d get and that was that.

In the first half, Dado had been winning great aerial ball in the hole and Boydy was always just a yard too short in latching on. At 2-0 down Boyd turned his man in the box and blasted over, off the bar, from six yards. This joined Burke’s sitter in our last visit to Parkhead and Stevie Thompson’s near miss just before Sutton completed the whitewash in 2004 as moments which pushed me over the edge of reason and into a fuming, hollaring sectarian bag of abuse. But there are times and places to lose the plot. When youre doing it as you sit at a computer typing, there’s something far wrong with you - you’re not really about the football at that point - and the riches Le Guen will bring are not to be enjoyed by you.

Oops - wait a minte - I’ve just remembered some of my other rants. I’m the nutcase at the PC. “Anderson Killer” is just my alter ego!

Anderson killer, if he could live up to his name on any night would be doing me a fucking favour if he did it tonight! Knowing my luck the bastard will probably get me just before we lift the UEFA cup next May!
